Izumo Dai-jingu Shrine

This is a shrine that is famous for marriages. In its precincts, there are many attractions such as "Meoto iwa" where visitors go to tie the red thread of their amulets, and "Manai no Mizu," which is the sacred water that springs forth from the mountain of worship that is Mt. Mikage. Occasionally, the "Manai no Mizu" water forms a line of people who come to draw it. The main building of the shrine is also designated as an important cultural property of Japan.
