LOGOS LAND
As a leisure facility for outdoor dining, having fun and staying overnight, Logos Land opened in 2018 through a collaboration between Joyo City and the outdoor brand Logos. Spanning about 9.5 hectares, it offers a variety of activities. You can enjoy both day trips and overnight stays here. There are tents inside rooms for unique and exciting overnight stays, and you can experience “camping” even if it’s rainy or windy, too hot or cold outside. They even offer rooms with terraces that have tarps to protect you from the sun or rain, so there's no need to worry about the weather for barbecuing. Also, other barbecue facilities are available, including a spacious area surrounded by nature. Logos Land is well-equipped with all the ingredients, so you can come empty-handed and just enjoy a barbecue. Furthermore, there is a restaurant, café, and shop with various items from outdoor gear to clothes. In the park, there is a 140-meter-long slide, a giant trampoline, a large fort-like jungle gym, and more. Logos Land sparks a sense of adventure in both adults and children, making it a fantastic spot for families to spend a day together.

MARU+JYU
Opened in September 2016, this farmhouse inn is a renovated over 100-year-old building, which was once used for tea processing. While retaining the charm of the original building, it is harmonized with the modern, stylish ambience. The thick beams and the earthen floor and walls have the natural texture, making it reminiscent of the aged tea-processing place. Through the handiwork of Kyoto’s lantern craftsmen, plasterer, lighting designer and others, you can experience traditional Japanese culture firsthand. From the windows, you can see the rural scenery of Ujitawara with the mountains including Mt. Jubu in the distance. At night, even a beautiful sky full of stars can be seen. It is an amazing place for those who want to quietly enjoy the beauty of the seasons in nature. This inn offers exclusive use of the entire building with the cypress bath and kitchen, making it perfect for long stays. Furthermore, depending on the season, you can enjoy fun experiences, such as tea picking and tea hand-kneading.

Chakabuki, a Tea-Guessing Game (at Soenkoyuan Yantan)
Chakabuki is a fun tea-guessing game where you try to remember the flavor of the tea you drank at first, and identify it from among several different teas. Soenkoyuan Yantan, in Ujitawara Town, offers a program of chakabuki, which is easy to understand even for beginners.
Soenkoyuan Yantan is a facility renovated from a large tea factory in the Yuyadani area, the “birthplace” of sencha (one of the most common Japanese teas). The hospitality of the local community makes it a heartwarming gathering place. Here, you can discover the region's charm more through the tourist information they offer, local specialties including tea at the shop, various interesting tea-related experiences, and so on. In the cafe space, you can enjoy delicious tea and sweets. On weekends, lunch made with local ingredients is available as well, which offers a taste of a different side of the culture in this region.
(From Soenkoyuan Yantan, you can walk to the Birthplace of Nagatani Souen. He developed the Aosei Sencha Seihou method in 1738, which laid the foundation for the processing method of some of today’s Japanese green teas including sencha.)
