Fine Fushimi Sake

Fine Fushimi Sake

Fushimi, with its rich natural climate, is blessed with high quality groundwater. Sake brewing in Fushimi began in the Yayoi Period, when rice cultivation started to spread throughout Japan. Fushimi flourished in the Edo Period as a vital hub for water and land transportation, and in the later half of the Meiji Period it was known throughout Japan as a mecca for sake. Today there are numerous breweries crafting uniquely flavored sakes steeped in Kyoto culture for you to enjoy.

Kyoto Wine

Kyoto Wine

Amanohashidate Wine and Tamba Wine are Kyoto's representative wines. Amanohashidate Wine doesn't use heat sterilization in its bottling, so it has a fresh, fruity taste. Meanwhile, Tamba Wine uses only the best grapes to make it the perfect pairing with Kyoto and Japanese cuisine. Both wines use grapes cultivated by local vineyards just for wine and fermented on-site. Enjoying the mature taste of these wines together with local seafood and vegetable dishes is a real treat.
