This temple also known as the Temple of Flowers sits amidst a spacious garden of about 16,500 square meters, and with a dazzling array of plants and trees, there is always something for the visitor to see in any season. From late April to early May, about 20,000 azaleas blossom in their full glory, providing one of the best displays in the Kansai region. In June, 10,000 hydrangeas in some 50 varieties burst forth, and from late June through to early August, a riotous profusion of 250 lotuses in a rainbow of colors come into bloom.
