Take a Drive Around Famous Spots in Kyoto Infused with Tea
The Kyoto Tea Country region (12 cities, towns and a village in southern Kyoto) is one of the places for producing the highest-quality Japanese tea. Uji is a popular tourist destination, which is famous for its tea, two World Heritage sites, Byodoin Temple and Ujikami Shrine, and more. It's just around a 30-minute drive from Kyoto. In Uji, you can savor authentic Japanese tea, especially Uji matcha. A wide variety of tea-based sweets are tempting, too. You can also enjoy tea-related experiences.
