Situated in the suburbs of Kyoto city in Kameoka, the café nouka has drawn attention by growing their own ingredients. Here you can taste cuisine that can only come from the hands of those who know the ingredients very well, the farmers themselves. Using rice and vegetables grown by themselves, the café offers 15 meals a day (1650 yen including tax). The rice is called “Kinuhikari” a species which grows well in the Tango area, also known as the “Kouzakimai” due to it being used in the coronation ceremony of Emperor Showa. Every speck of rice is as the name implies, snow white and a great match to taste the true flavor of vegetables.
